After more than 10 wonderful years as SS Brow & Beauty, we’re excited to share that our High Street salon at 11A St Peter’s Street is becoming part of the MALA family.

You’ll still find us in the same location, with the same trusted team, offering the treatments you know and love.

This is simply the next step in our journey, bringing our High Street salon together under one name alongside Mala Beauty Lounge at Fenwick Canterbury.

THREADING

A thin cotton or polyester thread is doubled, then twisted. Then, it is rolled over hair-growing areas to remove hair at the follicle level. Threading can remove short rows of hair as opposed to tweezing, which pulls out individual hairs one at a time.

WAXING AND HOT WAXING

The temperature of hot wax, which is used to remove hair, is usually between 55 and 65 degrees. In the hot wax process, warm wax is applied in layers over your skin, causing the wax to cling to the hair rather than the skin.

TINTING

In order to make your eyebrows look fuller and a little darker than usual, eyebrow tinting entails applying semi-permanent dye and blending it into them. Tinting is a method of enhancing your natural brows as opposed to micro-needling, which involves small tattoos on your brows.

EYEBROW LAMINATION

Brow lamination involves the “perming” of your eyebrow hairs to provide a fuller, more even look. It can also help keep them in place after washing off any cosmetics you may wear.

FACIAL

A facial is a group of facial skin care procedures that include steam, physical and chemical exfoliation, extraction, creams, lotions, face masks, peels, and massage.

EYELASH LIFT AND TINT

Without the use of any leave-on chemicals or extensions, a lash lift is an all-natural, semi-permanent technique that gives you the illusion of larger, thicker eyelashes. The root is strengthened in the natural lashes, giving them an elevated, longer appearance.
